Up to Date Info on Camaro....

Curious about information on the Chevy Camaro. Well hopefully we can answer some of your questions.

When will the Camaro be available for sale to the public?
The Camaro coupe will be available in the first quarter of 2009.

Will there be a convertible Camaro?
Yes, it will be available for sale within one year of the Camaro coupe.

Has pricing been announced for the Camaro?
Pricing has yet to be announced.

What performance and engine features will be offered in the Camaro?
The Camaro will incorporate and independent rear suspension and will offer both manual and automatic transmissions. Customers will be able to select either a V6 or a V8 engine. Horsepower on the engine has yet to be announced but we will have more feature info in the future.

Why is the Camaro taking so long to produce? Is it late?
General Motors announced in August 2006 that the Camaro would go on sales in first quarter 2009. Nothing has changed, it is still it's target date. GM is using the time frame to further develop the rear-wheel-drive architecture, and fine tune the powertrain, chassis and overall design of the Camaro.

What vehicles will the Camaro compete against?
Customers interested in the Camaro will also be shopping the Ford Mustang and the 2008 dodge Challenger. The Camaro is designed to hold a number of product advantages over the competition and will hold its own against any high-performance competitor in the market.
